DeleteDownload speed depends on your ISP plan & connection type, server performance, network congestion, and your home setup (router, wiring, device), plus wireless interference (walls, distance) or background apps slowing things down. Key factors include your bandwidth (ISP), distance to servers, server load, hardware quality (router, PC), and network traffic, especially during peak hours. As per our host, download speed is not limited on their side, so do check the aforementioned factors.

DeleteHi there. Thank you for this! I was able to get the expansion packs to work using the instructions on this site, but the stuff packs and game packs are not working. They show up in the game, but say 'download to use', which I obviously cannot do via the EA app. Is there a way I can get these to work?? Thank you :)

Yes, I have the legit base game. I also have some packs that I have bought previously that are showing up properly. I downloaded the rest of the things from SimsHub, and I am using the latest version of DLC unlocker. I just deleted it and redownloaded it but it still didn't work.
The expansion packs are working as they should, but the game packs and stuff packs are not. They are showing up as owned, but are saying 'download to use', so they do not appear in the game. It seems the unlocker is not unlocking them properly. I'm not sure if you have any other suggestions I can try?
I definitely don't have any old files on my computer because this is a brand new computer and I only tried to do this for the first time yesterday.

Deletei had this problem. turns out in the programme files the folders had a duplicate folder inside containing the files simply move the files to one folder and it fixed the problem

Sul Sul! The file for all DLCs is too big to compress into a single file. You might want to try the Sims 4 Updater instead with which you can download and install them in one go. You'll find the download link to it at the bottom of the DLC Installation Guide. Hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteHello! I'm assuming you we're trying to download it from here and that you have the latest DLC Unlocker. When downloads end up empty, it's usually because of a firewall or antivirus that's blocking it. Please refer to this article and see if the suggestions there resolves your issue.

DeleteQuick tip for anyone struggling with the "owned but not yet dowloaded" make sure that when you've put the (for example) sp01 map into the sims 4 map that when you press the sp01 there's not another map there called sp01. Of thats the case make sure you have a sp01 map in the sims4 folder that only leads to documents and not another map. Now it works for me (maybe do dlc unlocker again but it works!)

I've tried every way I can think of, but all expansion packs up until Cats & Dogs for some reason just take days to download. While my download speed is fast with every other pack, with these, it goes at a few kb/s. If you have any tips to help I'd really appreciate it. Thank you again for this!

DeleteSome of these aren't folders so when I put what was downloaded into the sims 4 section it's not installing because I don't think it is everything that is needed. Example the Vampires pack, courtyard oasis, and country kitchen are the specific ones I have found so far that do not work.

DeleteI followed the exact directions you gave. It comes up as a rar type once I download it, I'm not sure what that is specifically.
DeleteA RAR file (Roshal Archive) is a compressed archive that bundles one or more files/folders into a single, smaller file for easier storage and transfer, similar to a ZIP file but often offering better compression and features like error recovery and password protection. Since the DLC folder size is quite huge, it had to be zipped to reduce its size. You'll find it in step no. 6 in the installation guide.

DeleteHi, first I downloaded SP68 (Spongebob's house) I downloaded the kit and put it in the appropriate folders as I always do I open my folder where I have all the expansions installed and I also copied and pasted this one (SP68) but when I opened the game to see if the expansion was installed it was not installed.

ReplyDeleteSul Sul! Yes the DLCs should be compatible. The old DLC Unlocker though is no longer compatible with the new DLCs that were released after his disappearance (November 20, 2025). So, if you're downloading DLCs after that date, make sure you use the new DLC Unlocker (December 12, 2025 version) to unlock them.

DeleteDownload speed can vary for a number of reasons. It depends on your ISP plan and connection type, the performance and distance of the server you’re downloading from, and overall network congestion—especially during peak hours. Your home setup also plays a role, including your router, wiring, device performance, and whether you’re using Wi-Fi (walls, distance, and interference can affect speeds). Background apps or downloads running at the same time may slow things down as well. According to our hosting provider, download speeds are not limited on their end. The file is 1.87 GB which may really take time to download if you have a slow or limited bandwidth. Nevertheless, I have updated both the main and alternative links to rule out file corruption when it was first uploaded. Please try them and let us know if you're still encountering issues.

SP66 seems to not be working :( I have legit game and have deleted and downloaded sp66 multiple times, but its still not showing up in the game. Everything else i have downloaded works perfectly. Also, quick thank you to everyone working on this site, you are all truly angels :D !
